Hortense: a floral first name from the Latin adjective hortensius, “from the garden.”

Once we acquired these Porosus skins, we knew we needed to find the ideal design for them: something slightly slouchy, spacious, feminine and elegant. Atelier Renard's Le Hortense was the obvious choice, and the resulting bag is superb, if we do so say ourselves.

Exterior in matte khaki Porosus. The Crocodylus porosus, otherwise known as the saltwater crocodile, is found in South Asia and Oceania. Its scales are small and remarkably symmetrical. Porosus leather is the ultimate choice for true luxury craftsmanship – the crème de la crème.

As the leather ages, it'll become even more beautiful and lustrous as it develops a patina. Over time, its handles will become reminiscent of bamboo. This bag is made to stand the test of time: you'll love passing it on to the next generation.

Interior in café au lait dipped lambskin: this leather is incredibly soft, yet particularly hard-wearing. We've added a large zipped pocket in the centre, a zip with a large flat pocket which is separated in two on one side and a large flat pocket which is separated in three on the other side.

Size: w. 35 x h. 23 x d. 17 cm

Length of the handles from the top of the bag: 44 cm

PLEASE NOTE!

Crocodiles are a protected species; all the skins we work with come from responsible tanneries. All crocodile skins are fully traceable from their place of origin to our workshop and are subject to the Washington Convention.

Should your crocodile bag require shipping, a CITES certificate (in accordance with the Washington Convention) is required. We will take care of this, using your name and address (which must match your delivery address exactly).
