Through the seasons

Autumn colors arrive

Paris, Thursday 12th January 2023

The atmosphere has changed here in the courtyard of 3, Place du Palais Bourbon. Although
the days are still bright, the summer heat is fading.

The light is softer and more gentle; the sun seems to caress the skin. The colours are
changing: ochre, bronze, gold and hazelnut hues appear in every lush green corner. Copper-
brown and ruby-red leaves fall at our feet.

We can all feel a slight chill in the air. There’s always a wonderful microclimate in our
courtyard. Here, rhododendrons, jasmines and boxwoods bloom, following the gentle pace of
the changing seasons. As a camellia in the courtyard growing just in front of Atelier Renard’s
glass frontage, I’m ideally placed to be able to observe everything that goes on here. There
are plenty of new developments at Atelier Renard during this special period, between the
long summer holidays and the Christmas break in December.

Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.

Clients order bags in autumnal shades, just like this one, Le Petit Mistral: from hot pink to
dove grey and warm brown with a hint of orange. At Atelier Renard, giving clients what they
want is always the priority! By customising our clients’ bags to suit their needs, Atelier
Renard can be sure that they’ll be used for years, if not generations to come. That’s why
every detail counts for our talented leatherworkers.

What model is the client looking for? A timeless bag, a luxurious evening bag or a practical
piece of luggage
?

What leather should be used? Choices include baranil, taurillon, porosus and other
(seemingly mysterious) exotic leathers which Atelier Renard knows only too well.

What colour would work best? Clients can choose different colours for the outside of the bag
and its inner lining.

What size would ensure the ultimate comfort? A small leather clutch bag which can easily be
tucked under your arm or a larger tote-style bag to hold your belongings for an entire
weekend?

Lastly, what layout should there be inside to meet even the most demanding of needs? A
central zipped pocket for your glasses, a flat pocket for your phone, a large section for your
computer? And while we’re at it, why not include a key holder?

Atelier Renard’s clients can rely on our talented leatherworkers to turn their (wildest) dreams
into reality! I often overhear Brigitte as she talks with clients, showing them different options
and suggesting new ideas. The possibilities are endless!
Truly, there’s one thing that never changes with the seasons: the wonderfully close
relationship that Brigitte and Atelier Renard’s leatherworkers have with their clients, driven by
a desire to satisfy their every whim.

That’s what’s at the heart of Atelier Renard’s vision of luxury.
