Paris,
This morning the sun is back into the yard. It's still chilly, but the rays touching my petals... humm, a pure delight.
I can feel that the Atelier team will soon gather for lunch outside, right next to me. À taaaabbblllee (Brigitte's rallying cry...) I love it!
Ah... my apologies, where was my head at?.. I introduced myself, ok, but I didn't introduce you to Atelier Renard's team.
No, really, I'm blushing...
Now, Corinne.
Corinne arrived here, as I speak to you now, 37 years and 10 months ago. And as she looks extremely young, it is as she was born here.
Corinne is the memory of the workshop, and of the life of the courtyard.
She started with Joseph, continued with Jean Pierre, and then with Brigitte.
Corinne has nimble fingers, she's very discreet and extremely efficient.
Fifteen years ago, Etienne showed up. I remember that Brigitte didn't want to hire an extra person. But the guy is obstinate.
He came back, and back... and he ended up staying.
Etienne is a rock with golden fingers. Nimble fingers and golden fingers, not bad, don't you think?
He can do almost anything, loves challenges, loves to talk about his job and pass on his knowledge. Which he has been doing for almost four years now with Pierre.
Etienne and Corinne have taken Pierre under their wings, having soon understood it was all he wished.
A wish to learn, to understand, to immerse himself in this know-how.
Pierre blossoms, reveals himself and delights everyone. He is a ray of sunshine all by himself. And believe me, he already has the job well in hand!
More recently, Virginie has tiptoed in. I'll be honest with you, I don't always understand what she says... because Virginie - who fell into the Atelier like some fall into a pot of magic potion - often speaks Japanese. Translation, coordination between France and Japan, is her original profession.
Virginie is a team player with Brigitte. I often see them both, taking photos (of me as well), receiving clients, writing, drawing, and even organising video meetings with clients from the other side of the world in the office.
Feels like coming to meet them? Don't be shy!
